Neil Holdsworth has trained in Tae Kwon Do for 15 years under the instruction of Master Kenny Walton 8th Dan, who is also the Great Britain national coach, and chief instructor for the North of England. Neil Holdsworth has attended and passed a 2 part instructors course backed by the TAGB/BTC (British Tae-Kwon-Do Council), has full indemnity insurance, passed CRB check and is a qualified First Aider.
During this time he has been actively competing both nationally and internationally, and has had top 3 results in all 3 disciplines (Sparing, Traditional Patterns & Destruction), most recent was in May 2007 when he became the Welsh Braking Champion.

Winning the first sparing competition I entered as a yellow belt at the age of 18 in an open age tournament to become the North of England Champion & then renewing the title the following year. |
| Regrets: | Didn’t start at an earlier age and had to take time out due to an injury. |
| Ambition: | To keep training, competing and hopefully keep winning. |
| Best Advice: | Don’t rush your training, a lot of people want their black belt quickly but take your time and only grade when you feel ready, you know when you are. |
